FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 13, 2011 GCCSEA AGAIN RECEIVES STATE RECOGNITION The Guernsey County Child Support Enforcement Agency (GCCSEA) has once again received recognition from the State of Ohio for their outstanding efforts over the past year. In the Medium Caseload Division (4,001 – 9,000 cases), GCCSEA was given the Office of Child Support’s Best Performance Award for Paternity Establishment for 2011. This award was recently announced by Jeffrey Aldridge, Deputy Director of the State of Ohio, Office of Child Support. This is the seventh year in a row that the agency has been recognized as a top performer in the state. “I am pleased that our staff has once again been recognized for their hard work,” stated Barb Paden, GCCSEA Supervisor. “Even with the struggling economy, we still attempt to maintain our quality services.” “We feel that it is very important for children to know who their father is,” continued Paden. “And I am proud of our staff’s ongoing commitment to the children of this community.” A division of the Guernsey County Department of Job and Family Services, the GCCSEA is an essential element in providing family stability; ensuring children grow up safe and healthy, and keeping children and families out of poverty. The purpose of the child support program is to provide children with the opportunity for a better life. By working with both parents to establish and enforce support orders, the child support program helps children receive the financial and medical support that has been ordered for them and that they deserve. For more information about paternity establishment or the other services provided by the Guernsey County Child Support Enforcement Agency, call 432-2381, or visit the agency’s website at www.gcdjfs.com.
